Do not conduct schedule change actions before restoring “+” days in RSV lines

The Council 21 Reserve Committee would like to reiterate a previous communication that we published in the May 18 Newsletter. In our May 18 communication we advised Members to refrain from trading any days off in your Reserve line that would affect the legalities of restoring “+” days until your Help Hub request to restore those days has been fulfilled. Today, we would like to clarify that message further: We advise that Members do not take any schedule change actions until the restoration of the “+” days is complete and the days are showing as Reserve days of availability in the Master Schedule screen.

Taking schedule change actions that then create a legality conflict with the restoration of the “+” day, such as day-off trades, vacation fly-throughs, awarding of PTOs, DATVs, PDs, etc, then prohibit Crew Planning from restoring such “+” days, resulting in the Flight Attendant losing her/his ability to restore the RSV GUAR/MIN up to 78 hours.

What we recommend is after the request has been fulfilled, you can submit any such requests, which will result in the desired schedule outcome. The issue in these situations is the timeline of the actions and that is why we are highly encouraging no schedule change actions until the restoration request is fulfilled.
